The Introduction: What Existed Before Empathy? invites students to reflect on the historical and cultural evolution of empathy. This introduction situates caring within a broader context and highlights its fundamental importance.

Activity 1: Not in My Backyard engages students in a discussion about the NIMBY phenomenon and attitudes that can hinder community solidarity. Through the analysis of real-life cases, they examine how prejudices and lack of understanding can limit caring towards others, especially marginalized or struggling populations.

In Activity 2: Caregivers, students discover the essential role of individuals who care for their dependent loved ones.
