Cible Secondary 2 – Workbook 4 concludes the school year by combining skill consolidation with creative expression. Fully aligned with the Quebec Ministry of Education (MEQ) French curriculum, it helps teachers guide students toward stronger language mastery while renewing their relationship with writing.

Two complementary modules to end the year successfully

Module 7 – Grammar Review

This module prepares students for the exam by revisiting essential concepts in a structured and reassuring way. Rather than repetitive drills, students learn how to reformulate ideas, organize a descriptive-justificative text, and recognize evaluation criteria.

They work on introductions, development, conclusions, subjective point of view, connectors, and text organization—allowing them to better understand what is expected and to build confidence in their writing.

Module 8 – Poetry

The second module invites students into the world of poetry, presented as accessible, expressive, and creative. Through contemporary and Franco-Ontarian poems, students explore poetic structure, sound patterns, imagery, and figurative language.

The final task challenges students to write their own poem, offering a meaningful and personal way to close the school year.

An 8-week advanced grammar sequence

The grammar section (Weeks 25–32) focuses on deepening syntactic understanding:

  • Verb, noun, pronoun, and adjective complements
  • Subject complements and modifiers
  • Verb tenses: present, imperfect, past tense, future, conditional, subjunctive
  • Vocabulary development: lexical fields, figures of speech, homophones, adverbs in -ment, book-related vocabulary

Each week combines grammar, conjugation, and vocabulary with progressive exercises, engaging language games, and “Go further” features that build language awareness.

A complete teaching resource

The workbook includes dictations, online exercises, a detailed teacher’s guide, co-evaluation grids, and curated literary suggestions. Differentiated and accessible versions support inclusive classroom practices.

Cible Secondary 2 – Workbook 4 allows students to finish the year with confidence, precision, and creativity—while fully meeting curriculum expectations.
