Samantha R. Duchemin
Samantha R. Duchemin, a versatile artist, has devoted over two decades to painting while living between Montreal and the North Shore. From childhood, her talent was acknowledged by her father, and her teenage years were marked by an admiration for Dali and Escher, leading her to study architecture and drawing. This training culminated in a significant early achievement: designing the logo for the Montreal International Jazz Festival. After a decade of global exploration, armed with a guitar and sketchbooks, Samantha returned to Montreal. There, her work received acclaim, supported by art critic Guy Robert, and she also made her mark in the music scene, notably in Montreal and Toronto. Passionate about teaching, she trained at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Canada and the University of Quebec at Montreal, specializing in arts education. In 2016, she partnered with Manitu Productions to share her teaching method with the Innus youth, a project now supported by the MEES
