Pierre Corneille

Pierre Corneille or “Le Grand Corneille” or “Corneille the Elder” was born on June 6, 1606 in Rouen and died on October 1, 1684 in Paris. He is a French playwright and poet who studied law before turning to acting. In his works, he explores comedy and tragicomedy.
